Ingredients


6 strips thick sliced bacon
2 each yellow, white, and red onion sliced 1/4 inch thick (12 cups)
3 Tbsp. Minced garlic
1 Tbsp caraway seeds
1 lager beer (12 oz)
2 Tbsp. Whole grain mustard
3 Tbsp all purpose flour
3 cups each low sodium beef and chicken broth
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 serving is 2cups. 217 cals per serving.


Directions


Cook bacon and reserve. Sweat onion, garlic, and caraway in bacon drippings about 10 minutes covered. Uncover and cook 40 min more. Stir in beer and mustard and increase heat to high. Cook until beer nearly evaporated. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Add broths and simmer 10 min. Stir in worcestershire and season with salt and pepper.
