Ingredients


3 pounds ground beef
6 stalks celery, chopped
2 green bell pepper, chopped
2 onion, chopped
2 teaspoons crushed garlic
2 (28 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 cups water, or as needed
4 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, undrained
2 tablespoons chili powder
salt and pepper to taste

Directions


In a large pot over medium heat, cook beef until brown. Stir in celery, bell pepper, onion, garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, water and beans. Season with chili powder, salt and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.
