Carrot Cookies

1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup drained carrots, 303 size diced can, mashed
2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes
Frost with:
Juice of one orange-1 TB
Grate rind of orange- ¼ tsp
1 ½ cup powdered sugar
1 TB oleo
